Best Friends of the Force
Our K-9 Unit has been in existence for more than 20 years. The current unit was formed through the supportof the community, and generous donations received by the Kiwanis Club. The unit includes Ptl. Denny Funari, the handler for CASH, Ptl. JP Toth, the handler for TIMMY, and Ptl. Rich Dudas, the handler for VINCE.
Officers Funari and Toth and their dogs completed their training and were officially sworn in on Monday, Dec. 11, 2017. Ptl. Dudas completed his training on Friday, Oct. 30, 2020. Read about the unit on page 5
Officer Funari was the handler for the earlier K-9 that contributed much to the police department: Floppy, Jaro, and most recently, Chico who passed away in March 2017.
