Firearm Safety

Eddie Eagle Firearm Safety Course
The program teaches kids about gun safety begins at an early age. Students in 3rd grade attend an in-school, hands-off gun safety class, the Eddie Eagle Gun Safety Program, led by Officer Roseanna McCoy. The informative program teaches children what they should do if they encounter a gun:

  1. Stop!

  2. Don't touch it.

  3. Leave the area.

  4. Tell an adult.

The program also reinforces the dangers of handling weapons.
