Several Westlake Police Department officers and civilian personnel are trained as part of the Civilian Fingerprint Program. Westlake residents, or any person working in or applying for a job in Westlake, may take advantage of our civilian fingerprinting service at no charge. However, the person being printed is required to provide proof of identity and supply his or her own fingerprint card. Call for an appointment at (440) 871-3311.
The State of Ohio has also mandated that most fingerprints be submitted digitally through it’s WebCheck system. View a list of Firms and Agencies Offering WebCheck Services.
Our department officers teach the skill of fingerprinting to Boy Scouts for their merit badge awards. We also teach photography, first aid, and CPR to local Boy Scout Troops.
