Economic Development
The Economic Development Department coordinates activities for the recruitment and retention of businesses. Responsibilities include managing the city's business incentive programs, assisting business prospects and serves as the city's liaison with the existing business community.

Engineering Department
The Engineering Department implements all plans and programs relating to city infrastructure, bidding of large capital improvement projects such as, roadway improvement, infrastructure and major building improvements.

Purchasing Department
The Purchasing Department is responsible for bidding all goods and services required by the City other than large capital and civil engineering type projects, which are administered by the Engineering Department. See our Bid Openings and Surplus Auctions for more information.

Finance Department
The Finance Department is responsible for the accurate accounting of all receipts and disbursements of the City of Westlake, representing the city fully in all financial matters and abiding by all mandates governing proper municipal financial control. They publish the annual Community Report during the summer for the previous year and annual updates to the 5-year Capital Plan.

Building Department
The Building Department serves to protect the health, safety and welfare of the public and to enhance the general quality of life through interpretation and enforcement of the Westlake building codes as well as other applicable regulations governing construction and land uses.

The Planning Department administers plans and programs for the orderly development of the City of Westlake.
