After hearing from local seniors saying they have “read every book in the house” and wish they had some new material, the Community Services Department had the idea of organizing a senior book and puzzle exchange program.
To make this work, we are looking for donations of books or jigsaw puzzles, playing cards etc. (large print books would be especially high-demand items).
Books and puzzles for donation can be dropped off in the front entrance vestibule of the Community Services Center, Monday-Friday, during normal business hours. Employees will then designate one senior transportation vehicle to be the center’s “Book Mobile” to bring the items to residents’ doors so they can select items from the vehicle library without leaving their homes!
